Islamabad United’s opener Alex Hales will be unavailable for his side’s next match against Peshawar Zalmi on Monday.
The England star had a prior personal commitment, which is why he will miss his team’s upcoming match.
Hales is expected to be back in action for all the remaining matches, starting with the second leg in Karachi.
United are currently in third place on the points table in PSL 9 after one win from three matches.
The premier cricketing event is being played across four cities — Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi — culminating in the final at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. The tournament, featuring six teams, will consist of 34 T20 matches.
During the course of the competition, Karachi will host 11 matches, including the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the final. Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will each host nine matches. Multan, known as the city of saints, will witness five matches.
Similar to the previous edition, the ninth edition of the PSL will unfold in two legs. The matches from February 17 to 27 will take place at Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, hosting a total of 14 matches.
The cricketing action will then shift to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be played from February 28 to March 12. The tournament will conclude in Karachi with the playoffs.
